With Amazon Prime Day 2020 just finishing after a delayed entry, what can we expect for Prime Day 2021?
Given Covid which has taken up all of 2020, Amazon Prime Day was delayed to the point of being almost pointless.
Black Friday & Cyber Monday starts little over a month after Prime Day, making you wonder, what sales were good?
The main goal of Amazon Prime Day is to find cheaper laptops, tablets, TVs and other tech deals. Mostly with the intention of buying Amazons newer technology.
In this instance, we are looking at Prime Day deals for Smart Homes and Home Automation enthusiasts.
If you haven’t already purchased Amazon Prime, you can pick up a free 30-day trial to Amazon Prime here. You do need to be a member to take advantage of Amazons Prime Day 2021.
The best thing about Amazon Prime is that whilst you do get access to Prime Day and next day delivery, you also get access to tonnes of Popular TV shows. For example, The Boys (Season 1 & 2), Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
How do I know if there’s an actual sale?
If you’re not purchasing from Amazon directly, lots of third parties will pretend to put on sale.
Luckily, you can work around this! If you install Honey (Which I recommend anyway), it’ll automatically assign coupon codes on checkouts for LOTS of your favourite stores.
Not only this, but Honey will also show you prior pricing so you know if they’ve not inflated the price just to then pretend there’s a sale.
The expected best sales for Prime Day 2021
Eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 30C
Whilst I’m a huge fan of the Budget Robot Vacum – Dibea D500 Pro, The Eufy BoostIQ is a fantastic Self-Charging Robot Vacuum that can be controlled by voice assistants and Smart Phone. It is fairly quiet, boasting a decibel level that operates no higher than a Microwave.
iRobot was the winner back in the day, but Robot Vacuums are so common now, it’s definitely worth checking out the Eufy Range.
Amazon Echo Buds
I reviewed the Amazon Echo Buds not too long ago, I love them. They fit in my weird shaped ears no problem, they are comfortable and whilst it’s not advised I have fallen asleep with them in using Audible.
The sound quality obviously isn’t that of a great studio pair, but at the price point they’re perfect for working out or doing chores around the house. I tend to find I can listen to them on full volume for between 4 – 5 hours and the full charge can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 6 hours.
As a fan of Blink (Before they added subscription fees), I got hold of the Blink Mini and quite liked it. If you’re happy to pay a subscription for services and like the ecosystem for Blink, definitely check out these little cameras.
If you’re still not sure, definitely check out my Blink Mini review, where I also tackle the Blink XT2.
Amazon Echo Flex
Quite possibly my favourite Echo device, it fits snuggly in your plug socket, has an array of attachments and at this price point, it’s ridiculously cheap!
I’ve done my review of the Echo Flex in which I rated it as one of my favourite Smart Home devices of 2020.
If you’re getting into Smart Home Automation or just want to dot Alexa around the house more, this is the perfect solution.
Toshiba Smart TV – Fire TV Edition
This is a perfect option for any beginner Smart Home User or as a television for your kids room as it requires little to no set up. Amazon have dropped this considerably as it’s fluctuated in price but is at an all time low.
It comes with a Fire TV remote, runs at 720p HD, boasts three HDMI ports for extra tools and uses DTS TruSurround.
Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet
This is a much better option than the Amazon Fire Tablet 7, which I absolutely slandered prior. Amazon has taken key points from many of the audience and produced this great budget tablet.
It uses USB-C for fast charging, has a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor which is 30% faster than the prior Tablets.
This is the perfect device for watching Amazon Prime Video or Netflix on it, if you’re regularly on the road with family definitely pick up a few of these.
Ring Video Doorbell
Was $99.99, now $69.99
Ring Doorbells are known for their quality, absolutely fantastic doorbells that offer a 1080p HD video stream where you can speak to anyone from your phone, tablet and even PC.
You will recieve frequent updates that regularly update your motion detection, privacy zone tools and even the night vision software.
There is an optional extra subscription service called Ring Protect Plan which records all your videos for up to 60 days.
Amazon Fire TV Stick
Was 39.99, now ??? (Price changes depending on version)
I love the FireStick, it’s perfect for turning a Dumb TV into a Smart TV, but at such a low price point, it’s the perfect option.
Access tonnes of apps and channels like HBO, Disney+, Netflix, YouTube, Apple TV and of course Amazon Prime.
This isn’t the 4k variant, so check this one out if you need 4k.
Govee Color Changing LED Strip
I did a post about my top reviewed LED Light Strips, so seeing this on the Amazon Prime Sales was extremely attractive! I can’t fault these LED Strips, they can be controlled via a remote, app and Bluetooth.
The actual light itself is pretty bright and energy saving as it is an LED Strip. Not much else to say other than, grab it if you can!
TP-Link Tapo Smart Plug
Was $39.99, now $28.49
Whilst we do suggest getting the official amazon Smart Plug, if you’re looking for a cheaper bundle, the TP-Link Tapo Smart Plugs are a great investment.
They work with the Alexa Echo, Google Home, they don’t rewquire a hub and they’re pretty small!
